Sizzling Wok-Seared Beef with Fragrant Leeks and Chili❤️😋
Ingredients:
250g beef (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak), thinly sliced against the grain
2 leeks, cleaned and cut into diagonal pieces
2 garlic cloves, minced
2–3 red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
3 tbsp cooking oil
For Marinating Beef:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp cooking wine
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp oil
For Sauce:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
½ tsp sugar
A pinch of salt and black pepper
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, cornstarch, and oil. Mix well and let it marinate for 15–20 minutes to enhance tenderness and flavor.
Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil. Toss in the minced garlic and sliced chilies, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
Increase the heat to high and add the marinated beef. Stir-fry quickly for 1–2 minutes until the beef changes color and is about 80% cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add a little more oil if necessary. Add the leeks and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce ingredients. Stir-fry everything together for 30–60 seconds until evenly coated and heated through.
Transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately with steamed rice for a complete meal.
