Creamy Brownie Batter Dip
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Chill time: 30 minutes (optional, but recommended)
- Yield: about 10–12 servings
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (1 block) Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
- ½ cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 box (approx. 16–18 oz) Fudge Brownie Mix * ¼ to ½ cup Milk (whole milk or 2% works best)
- 1 cup Mini Chocolate Chips (divided)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cream the Base: In a large mixing bowl (or using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment), beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together on medium-high speed for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and free of lumps.
- Add Sugar and Mix: Turn the mixer to low speed and gradually add the powdered sugar and the dry brownie mix. Mix until just combined. Note: The mixture will look very thick and crumbly at this stage.
- Adjust the Consistency: With the mixer running on low, slowly pour in ¼ cup of milk. Beat until smooth. If the dip is still too thick for dipping, add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches a thick, scoopable, frosting-like consistency (usually up to ½ cup total).
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in ¾ cup of the mini chocolate chips using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, saving the remaining ¼ cup for the topping.
- Chill and Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the remaining mini chocolate chips over the top for decoration. You can serve it immediately, but letting it chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes allows the chocolate flavors to deepen beautifully.
🍓 What to Serve with This Dip
This dip pairs beautifully with a mix of sweet, salty, and fruity dippers:
- Fruit: Fresh strawberries, banana slices, or crisp apple slices.
- Cookies & Crackers: Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, animal crackers, or pretzels (for that perfect salty-sweet combo).
Storage Tip: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Before serving leftovers, let it sit on the counter for 10–15 minutes to soften back up to a dippable texture.
