Buttery puff pastry turns crisp and golden around a tender seafood filling, rich with garlic, herbs, and softly melted cheese. Each hand pie opens with flaky layers and a warm, creamy center.
🛒Ingredients :

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup crab meat or lobster pieces
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten, for egg wash

  1. Prepare the Seafood Filling
    Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the shrimp, crab meat or lobster, and garlic. Gently saute until the seafood is just tender and fragrant, taking care not to overcook it.
  2. Build the Creamy Center
    Lower the heat and fold in the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the filling is creamy, cohesive, and lightly glossy.
  3. Shape the Pastry
    Cut the puff pastry into circles or even squares, then place a spoonful of filling in the center of each piece. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  4. Finish in the Oven
    Brush each hand pie with beaten egg for a polished golden surface. Bake at 400 F for 18 to 20 minutes, until the pastry is puffed, crisp, and deeply golden.
  5. Serve Warm
    Let the hand pies rest for a few minutes so the creamy seafood filling settles. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve while the pastry is flaky and the center is warm.
