Baked Egg Custard

Ingredients:

800 g milk

200 g condensed milk

4 eggs (about 200 g)

5 g vanilla extract

2 g nutmeg powder

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle nutmeg powder evenly on top.
  4. Place the baking dish in a larger tray filled with hot water to create a water bath.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into squares.
  7. Serve warm or chilled for a soft and creamy dessert.
