A High-Protein, Low-Calorie Hydration Drink
Ingredients (Makes about 2 Liters)
- 6 cups brewed hibiscus tea, chilled
- 2 cups cold filtered water
- 1 cup white cranberry juice (low sugar if possible)
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, halved
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (optional)
- 2 scoops clear whey isolate protein (berry or lemonade flavor)
- 2 scoops unflavored collagen peptides
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Brew the hibiscus tea and let it cool completely.
- In a large pitcher, combine the chilled hibiscus tea, cold water, and white cranberry juice.
- Add the clear whey isolate and collagen peptides. Stir or whisk until fully dissolved.
- Mix in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and apple cider vinegar.
- Add the blueberries, strawberries, lemon slices, and lime slices.
- Fill the pitcher with plenty of ice cubes and stir gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to infuse.
