Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
- In a greased air fryer-safe baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, and sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and Parmesan on top.
- Add the remaining potato slices and top with the rest of the cream mixture. Finish with the leftover cheese and dot with butter pieces.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the foil and cook for an additional 15 minutes to allow the top to get golden and bubbly.
- Once done, let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.
Chef’s Tips
- For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon or ham pieces between the layers.
- Experiment with different cheese blends for a unique taste—Gruyère or mozzarella work beautifully!
