🥐🤍 BUTTERMILK BISCUITS — LOVE FOLDED BY HAND 🤍🥐
Some mornings live in your memory forever.
For me, they sound like quiet kitchens and feel like warm biscuits.
These are the biscuits my grandma made before the house woke up, the ones my mom learned to fold with patience, and the ones my dad always reached for first, still steaming, broken open with a smile.
They were never fancy —
just honest, warm, and full of care.
🤍 GRANDMA’S BUTTERMILK BISCUITS RECIPE 🤍
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ cup cold butter, cubed
¾ cup cold buttermilk
🌼 Cutting the Butter – Grandma’s Hands
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
Grandma always said,
“Cold butter makes tender hearts… and tender biscuits.”
🤍 Folding the Dough – Mom’s Patience
Add buttermilk gently.
Bring the dough together — don’t overwork it.
Fold it softly, just a few times.
Mom believed the secret was knowing when to stop.
🔥 Baking – Dad Waiting at the Table
Roll and cut the biscuits.
Place them close together on the pan —
because dad said everything’s better when it sticks together.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden.
🕊️ More Than Biscuits
These biscuits were for slow mornings,
extra butter,
and stories told between bites.
Some recipes don’t just fill your plate —
they remind you where you come from 🤍
