Oven Baked 4-Ingredient Beef Garlic Bread Bites

These oven baked 4-ingredient beef garlic bread bites are exactly what my uncle shows up with at every summer backyard gathering. He swears by the simplicity: garlicky toasted bread, a savory layer of browned ground beef, and a blanket of melty mozzarella, all baked together on one foil-lined sheet pan. They’re the kind of no-fuss appetizer you can throw together after work, transport easily, and watch disappear in minutes.

With only four ingredients and almost no prep, they’re perfect for busy weeknights, game days, or any time you need a reliable, crowd-pleasing snack.

Serve these beef garlic bread bites straight from the foil-lined baking sheet so they stay warm and easy to grab. Pair them with a simple green salad or cut-up veggies for something fresh on the side, and set out a small bowl of marinara or ranch for dipping if you like. They go great with cold lemonade, iced tea, or a light beer at summer cookouts, and they’re equally at home on a game-day snack table next to chips and salsa.

If you’re feeding a bigger crowd, make two trays and stagger the baking so a fresh, hot batch comes out just as the first one starts to disappear.

Oven Baked 4-Ingredient Beef Garlic Bread Bites

Servings: 8

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80–90% lean)

1 (10 to 12-ounce) box frozen garlic bread, sliced into small pieces if not pre-sliced

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Place the frozen garlic bread slices on the foil-lined baking sheet in a single layer. If the slices are large, cut them into smaller bite-size pieces (about 2-inch squares) so they’re easy to pick up and eat. Arrange the pieces close together but not overlapping.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and no pink remains, about 6–8 minutes.

Drain off any excess grease from the skillet if needed, then sprinkle the salt over the cooked beef and stir to season evenly. Taste and adjust the salt if you prefer a bit more.

Spoon the seasoned ground beef evenly over each piece of garlic bread, dividing it as evenly as you can so every bite gets a good layer of meat.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the top of the beef-covered garlic bread pieces, making sure most of the meat is covered so the cheese can melt and bubble nicely.

Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the preheated oven. Bake for 10–14 minutes, or until the garlic bread edges are crisp and golden, the beef is sizzling, and the mozzarella is fully melted and bubbly with golden spots.

If you like extra browning, switch the oven to broil for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely so the cheese doesn’t burn.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the bites cool for a few minutes so they’re easier to handle and the cheese can set slightly.

Transfer the beef garlic bread bites to a serving platter or serve them directly from the foil-lined sheet pan. Enjoy warm.

Variations & Tips

For a little extra flavor without adding to the main ingredient list, you can sprinkle dried Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, or black pepper over the cheese before baking. If you’d like them a bit lighter, use a leaner ground beef (90–93% lean) and be sure to drain off any excess fat well after browning.
