Strawberry Honey Cake

🧾 Ingredients

Cake:

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • (Optional) 2–3 tbsp strawberry gelatin powder (for stronger flavor/color)

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

🥣 Instructions

Prep
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan
2. Mix the batter
  • In a large bowl, combine:
    • Cake mix
    • Flour
    • Sugar
  • Add:
    • Eggs
    • Milk
    • Melted butter
    • Sour cream
    • Honey
  • Mix until smooth and well combined
  • Fold in chopped strawberries
3. Bake
  • Pour batter into prepared pan
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean
4. Make glaze
  • Mix powdered sugar + milk + vanilla until smooth
  • Adjust thickness (more milk = thinner glaze)
5. Finish
  • Let cake cool slightly
  • Drizzle glaze over the top
  • Optional: sprinkle extra strawberries on top

🍓 Tips

  • For extra strawberry flavor, add a few mashed strawberries into the batter
  • You can swap honey for maple syrup, but honey gives a richer taste
  • Best served slightly warm or fully cooled
