Ingredients:
400g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 large onions, sliced into wedges
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, finely grated
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce (optional, for color)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
Chopped green onions, for garnish
Directions:
In a bowl, toss sliced beef with cornstarch, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and black pepper. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add beef in a single layer and sear quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same wok, add remaining oil. Sauté onions over high heat until slightly softened but still crisp.
Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry until fragrant.
Return beef to the wok and toss with onions.
Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and water. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
Cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes glossy.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve hot over jasmine rice.
